Ottawa Developmental Fencing Circuit #4 - Feb. 18th
The fourth event of this year's Ottawa
Developmental Fencing Circuit (ODFC) will be held in the Canada
Room at the RA Centre (2451 Riverside Drive) on Sunday February
18th.
The ODFC is a great opportunity for
beginner and intermediate fencers wishing to participate in local
tournaments.
Each ODFC competition includes Under
11, Under 13, Under 15, Women's Open (all ages) and Mixed Open (all
ages) Foil events and Under 15 and Mixed Open (all ages) Epee events,
allowing fencers of all ages to participate in the circuit. In an
effort to keep the circuit accessible to beginner fencers, all of
the Foil events are dry (therefore no electrical equipment is required
to participate). Electric equipment will be provided to those who
need it for the Epee event (fencers wishing to use their own equipment
are encouraged to do so).

The CFF Armband Program is a comprehensive
progression through the sport of fencing for fencers of all ages,
encompassing all aspects of the sport as fencers progress from beginner
to high performance athletes. As fencers work towards receiving
their Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Red, and Black Armbands, they
will learn the skill sets necessary to become successful athletes,
coaches, and referees.
